Comune sm (AMM) → town council (= sede); town hall
ComuneThe Comune is the smallest autonomous political and administrative unit. It keeps records of births, marriages and deaths and has the power to levy taxes and vet proposals for public works and town planning. It is run by a "Giunta comunale", which is elected by the "Consiglio Comunale". The Comune>/c> is headed by the "sindaco" (mayor) who since 1993 has been elected directly by the citizens.
